I am giving this place above 5 Stars! This place was beautiful and so clean. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on the deck with our coffee with the beautiful view of the lake. My kids enjoyed Kayaking and boating which is available by the docks. The owner is very nice and cares about her cabins. We stayed in Nautical. I was happy to find this GEM! It had everything we needed. This was a great experience and WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN!!

This place is amazing. The cabin is clean, bright

and has air conditioner that works very well and is

quiet at the same time. The kitchen has all of the

things that you need; even if you cook a lot...

There is a great view of the lake from the kitchen

window and the porch. If you feel like fishing or

kayaking you have everything

included in the rental price.. I will be sure to

come back here again!

Our family of 16 spent the most incredible 6 days at Betty’s Hideout! We rented all 3 cabins and do not have one complaint!! The cabins were so clean and decorated beautifully! We absolutely loved the large deck that had beautiful views of Spider Lake. We ate our dinner on the deck every night and then moved down to the fire pit for our nightly s’mores! The lakefront was amazing, great swimming and the dock was perfect! We used the kayaks and pedal boat every day. We rented a pontoon from Jim Fournier and were able to keep it right at the dock. Our week was full of unforgettable memories! Thank you Heather for all your help prior to our visit!

We just wrapped up our second vacation staying at Betty's Hideout and I can't rave enough about this place. Our family of four stayed at the Nautical cabin for the second year and it's the perfect size for us. The cabin is always immaculate...but especially this year with COVID concerns we were immediately put at ease arriving to a clean cabin with disinfectant spray and wipes left for our use. I could go on and on about the highlights of Betty's hideout but let me save time and list my top 10.

1 - Super clean cabin with modern accommodations (TV with Netflix, Hulu, and HDMI hookup for your kid's video games, hair dryer, toaster, coffee maker, BBQ grill, etc.)

2 - beautiful, picturesque views - the most amazing mornings drinking your coffee by the lake

3 - direct access to the beach out the door - makes family time convenient and stress free!

4 - use of kayaks, paddle boats, and fishing poles kept the kids busy - I never once heard the kids were bored

5 - a 10 minute paddle (or float) to Ant Island, the most popular gathering spot on Spider Lake

6 - 10-15 minute drive to downtown Traverse City for the best shopping and restaurants and the popular TART trail (ride your bike to the Filling Station for a great pizza and better pints!)

7 - 10 minutes from the VASA singletrack and the world famous Iceman mountain bike course

8 - less than an hour drive to Lake Michigan and the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes

9 - giant deck overlooking the lake and beach - perfect spot for spreading out and having family meals

10 - the most perfect beach with a sandy shore, perfect deck (for cannonballs) and a fire pit for nighttime s'mores.



This place has given us the best family memories the last two summers and I'm looking forward to many more!

I LOVE these cabins. Cute, comfortable, and serene. I am GENUINELY pleased with the service I have been provided thus far. The cabins look AMAZING. You all have done a wonderful job renovating. Everything looks wonderful and is very comfortable, I am so impressed with all you have done here! I have fallen in love with this place and hope to come back every year!
